It is with heavy heart that we come to announce the untimely passing of our beloved Theodora. Following medical examination her sudden death came about due to heart failure.
Theodora was a sweet race horse who suffered the cruelty of humans until the end of her athletic career. When she arrived at our shelter she was visibly battered, tired and scared. However, horses, being animals that forgive easily when the environment is beneficial for them, had shown us how a horse can completely change when someone treats them with courtesy, love and respect. While with us she had kept company with two of our other mares, Jerry and Stefi, who still look for her.
